This is a shot from the Badi Palace here in Marrakech, which took 25 years to build (1578-1593). It was built by the Saadian king Ahmad al-Mansur, and later torn apart by the Alaouite Sultan Mawlay Ismail who used the materials to decorate his own palace in Meknes. (wikipedia) Only small parts remain intact or has been rebuilt.
